I found this towering China Fir, a decorative evergreen imported to the southeastern USA, laying across the road the morning after hurricane Helene. It took me awhile to identify this wood as I began to try preserving the long straight trunks. It’s’ a very fragrant evergreen, and lighter in weight than most of the hardwoods I use.
